To provide financial support to PNP students who plan on practicing in a rural or underserved geographical region for the first two years after they complete their PNP education.
Applicants must be planning on practicing in a rural or undeserved geographical region for the first two years after PNP education completed; must be registered nurses who have completed at least two semesters or quarters as defined by the university; enrolled at a recognized Master’s degree program; have no previous formal pediatric nurse practitioner education; and demonstrated financial need. In addition, applicants must be in full-time status (nine or more credit hours/semester) while in PNP program; have GPA of 3.0 or higher; be member of NAPNAP providing with ongoing accounts regarding students.
Recipients will be selected based on academic performance and financial status.
