Provides scholarships to Cumberland County Pennsylvania students demonstrating financial need in the pursuit of a nursing degree as they graduate from Carlisle High School, Boiling Springs High School, and any Cumberland County High School Senior planning to pursuit their nursing degree at Messiah University.
Current high school seniors attending Carlisle High School or Boiling Springs High School must be matriculated undergraduate nursing students in the fall of the year in which the award is given. Current high school seniors attending any secondary school located in the Cumberland County, Pennsylvania must be matriculated undergraduate nursing students at Messiah University in the fall of the year in which the award is given. Applicants must be in an accredited BSN or BSN-RN program and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Membership in the Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP) and/or the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) is highly recommended for those applicants who are currently enrolled in nursing pre-licensure programs.
Entries are judged based on essay responses and financial need.
