To recruit and retain high caliber graduate nursing students who are committed to nursing practice, education, or research in tuberculosis (TB) or other pulmonary diseases.
Applicants must be graduate nursing student in the MS, MN, DNP or PhD programs at the UW SoN; previous clinical experience caring for patients with TB or other pulmonary diseases; commitment to the study of nursing care for TB or other pulmonary diseases and to full-time enrollment (minimum 10 credits/quarter) in all quarters of funding; agree to present at a Firland Board meeting, progress and accomplishments at the end of each funding year.
Preference will be given to students who are focused on nursing care of individuals with TB and plan to practice in the Pacific Northwest after graduation.
