Applicant must be a student member of the Hispanic Dental Association who has been accepted into or is currently enrolled in an accredited dental school or dental hygiene program in the state of Texas (student may be at any stage of the undergraduate program, first through the fourth year); and must have permanent resident status in the U.S.
Selection is based on students’ commitment and dedication to improving the oral health of the Hispanic community; community service (volunteer efforts in school, medical facilities, church, etc.); leadership skills; and scholastic achievement.
