Scholarship Mission

To provide financial assistance to African American students pursuing nursing degrees.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be African American with permanent residency in the District of Columbia or one of the adjacent counties of the State of Maryland (Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Howard and Montgomery, Prince Georges); must be sophomore, junior or first-semester senior nursing students in a registered nursing or practical nursing program; must be currently enrolled in a National League for Nursing accredited program and be in good academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.8; and must be U.S. citizens.

Recipients are selected based on financial need.
