Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students attending an accredited, two- or four-year, not-for-profit institution in the United States (including U.S. territories); must be full-time students and have a minimum 2.7 GPA; must be residents of the Hilo Coast and the Hamakua Coast, north of the Wailuku River; must be majoring in agriculture, science, medicine, or nursing; must demonstrate financial need.
