To address emerging needs of public health, and to provide leadership and professional opportunities at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for students and graduate students of ASPH member graduate schools of public health.

To provide professional training and opportunities for early career public health professionals by enabling them to work in EPA on current and emerging environmental public health needs.

To provide training opportunities to graduates of accredited schools of public health.

To encourage qualified practitioners in energy engineering and energy management by awarding scholarships to further education in the field.

To provide financial support to deserving students.

To support the educational efforts of students enrolled in an Occupational Safety and Health-related major.

To stimulate interest in radiation research early in junior faculty’s careers by offering them the opportunity to have focused time for research projects in radiation oncology, biology, physics or outcomes/health services.

To introduce medical students from backgrounds that are underrepresented in medicine to the discipline of radiation oncology early in their medical education.
