Do you lead by example? Are you passionate about service and a positive force for good? High school seniors with excellent character who plan to pursue a degree in healthcare are invited to apply for the Kendra Smith Scholarship, sponsored by The First Nation Group Foundation Inc.
The Kendra Smith Scholarship is available to high school seniors, offering one award of $10,000. This scholarship is renewable for up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, based on satisfactory academic performance and full-time enrollment. In addition to financial support, recipients will have access to mentorship opportunities and extracurricular activities.

Mission:
The APHA KP Community Health Scholarship, part of the Community Health Leadership Program, is an initiative to create a group of diverse, underrepresented public health leaders who are committed to improving the health of our most vulnerable communities and supporting achievement of health equity for all in the nation. The program is funded by a grant from Kaiser Permanente National Community Benefit Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation.
The scholarship supports the education of newly admitted graduate students beginning their MPH or DrPH/PhD in public health in fall 2023 at one of our eight partner universities that are committed to training the emerging public health workforce.
