Purpose for the scholarship
To ensure an adequate number of nurses for the future healthcare needs of Vermonters.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must enroll in one of the following nursing programs: a practical nursing certificate program after which the student is eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN examination; an associate of science degree in nursing program after which the student is eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination; a bachelor of science degree in nursing. Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale in their course of study; must demonstrate financial need.

Selection is based on essay, recommendation letter, financial need, and academic achievement.
