Purpose for the scholarship
To support the education of minority students pursuing careers in education, nursing, or STEM fields.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a resident of Wicomico, Somerset, or Worcester County, Maryland, who has been accepted as a full-time student at a two-year or four-year accredited college or university; must be a minority student (African American/Black, Hispanic American, Asian American, Native American, or other racial/ethnic minority); applicant’s primary educational pursuit must be education, nursing, or a STEM major; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Selection criteria among applicants
Demonstrated financial need, community involvement, academic achievement, and extracurricular activities will be taken into account.
