Purpose for the scholarship
To support Marion County graduates pursuing postsecondary education.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a graduating senior or previous graduate of a Marion County high school, OR a senior and candidate for graduation/ completion from a home school, eSchool, digital/online school, virtual academy, community school, or other state recognized charter non-public school; must have been a resident of Marion County for entire high school experience; must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Selection criteria among applicants
Special consideration is given for the following: First, those pursuing Ecology, Natural Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Renewable Energy Engineering, Sustainability Management, Urban Planning and Sustainability, Climate Science, Conservation Science, Conservation Biology, or Environmental Health and Economics; and second, those pursuing Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture Production, Animal Science, Food Sciences and Technologies, Horticulture, Plant Science, or Soil Science.
