Purpose for the scholarship
To support Marion County high school graduates who are pursuing degrees in animal science or veterinary fields.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a graduating senior or previous graduate of a Marion County high school or senior and candidate for graduation/completion from a home school, eSchool, digital/online school, virtual academy, community school, or other state recognized charter non-public school (in such cases, must be Marion County resident for two or more years preceding graduation/completion of school); must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; must intend to major in animal science or veterinary medicine, technician, or technology.

Selection criteria among applicants
Special consideration will be given to applicants who held a regular full-time or part-time job during high school.
