Purpose for the scholarship
To assist individuals whose lives have been impacted, and maybe traumatized, by challenging circumstances with educational opportunities.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicants must be either undergraduate or graduate students; must be enrolled in two- or four-year accredited college institution in Hawaii or the continental U.S. in a degree seeking program; must have been impacted, and maybe traumatized, by challenging circumstances (such as the death of a significant family member, domestic violence, sexual abuse, poverty, major health problems etc.) but still have the motivation and desire to be enriched by an educational opportunity; must have a minimum GPA of 2.8; must demonstrate financial need.
