Purpose for the scholarship
To support Hawaiian students pursuing advanced medical degrees.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii attending an accredited four-year college or university and pursuing an advanced degree in medicine, such as a Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Physician Assistant (PA), or Nurse Practitioner (NP); must be a full-time graduate student and demonstrate financial need.

Selection criteria among applicants
Preference given in the following order: GPA of 3.0 or higher; Maui resident; applicants who demonstrate an intent to return to practice on Maui, if not within the State of Hawaii. Preference also given for renewal applicants.
