Purpose for the scholarship
To USJF members who are pursing a medical degree in a recognized academic institution.

Requirements to qualify?
Applicant must be a United States citizen of good moral character and social conduct; must be a currently registered USJF member and a member of an USJF charter club at the time of application; must be a yudansha; must be first- or second-year medical student at a School of Medicine in the United States who expects to graduate as a Doctor of Medicine or a Doctor of Osteopathy (MD or DO).

Selection criteria among applicants
Selection will be based on the basis of financial need and the potential to give back to judo.
