Purpose for the scholarship To identify and honor an outstanding Health Information Technology and Health Information Administration student in Texas.
Requirements to qualify? Applicants must be graduating students in the last year of a HIA or HIT program; must have an overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) minimum of 3.0. and an overall major GPA of 3.5; must be full-time students in a health information program (12-semester hours minimum); TxHIMA Active Student membership (AHIMA member designating Texas as your Component State Association); Texas residency (minimum 1 year) prior to application; U.S. citizen or permanent resident status.
