To support the education of minority students pursuing careers in education, nursing, or STEM fields.
Applicants must be residents of Wicomico, Somerset, or Worcester County, Maryland who have been accepted as a full-time student at a two-year or four-year accredited college or university; must be a minority student of either African American/Black, Hispanic American, Asian American, or Native American origin; must be attending an accredited four-year college or university, or two-year institution of higherlearning that offers an associate degrees; applicant’s primary educational pursuit must be education, nursing, or a STEM major; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA along with demonstrated financial need, community involvement, academic achievement, and extracurricular activities.
Selection will be based on the committee criteria.
