Scholarship Mission

To support the professional development of individuals engaged in the study of health information technology or health information management.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be active student members of AHIMA with TxHIMA membership; citizens of the United States or hold resident status in the United States; and, enrolled in an AHIMA accredited educational program pursuing an HIT or HIA degree which leads to the RHIT or RHIA certification.

How Winners are Selected

Selection will be based on the essay, 50 points (content, writing style, grammar, spelling, and punctuation) and financial need, 50 points.
