To provide opportunities in higher education to exceptional Hawaiian students – especially those who have demonstrated perseverance and determination in the face of difficult financial and social obstacles.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited, two- or four-year, not-for-profit institution within the United States (including U.S. territories); must be residents of Hawaii and graduating seniors from Hawaii public high schools; must have a minimum 3.5 GPA (2.7 GPA for renewals) and demonstrated financial need.
Preference will be given to students with the greatest financial need and those majoring in engineering, medicine, political science, radio technology, law, and education.
