To improve and enhance the quality of life in the Tri-Cities area by serving as a leader, catalyst and resource for philanthropy; to strive for community improvement through strategic grantmaking in such fields as the arts, education, health, environment, youth, social services and other human needs.
Applicants may be non-traditional students; Tri-Cities adult resident seeking to gain additional education of career training at a college, university, technical or vocational school; must be a student whose secondary education has been delayed or interrupted.
Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement, community service and college plans; preference will be given to a female, age 21 or older, with demonstrated financial need.
